Hisam Elsewedy, C.E.O

A member of Elsewedy family and a shareholder the Vice President of Elsewedy Industries, which provide industrial productions and services in the Middle East area.

Mr. Elsewedy had been hold a Bacholar degree in Economics from American University in Cairo in 1985.

Mr. Elsewedy established and managed different projects as telecommunication and fiber optics cables manufacturing, steel fabrication, communication and information technology. Mr. Elsewedy is widely recognized in the Arab and Regional area for his pioneering and successful companies.

Mr. Elsewedy was earlier instrumental in setting up Elsweedy Industries Information and Communication Systems Company "EgyCom". Starting as the General Manager, He traveled worldwide, establishing and servicing customers, particularly in the Arab region.

Dr. Nabil Salem, President

Dr. Salem has a Doctorate in Information and Computer Engineering Management.

He has over 25 years experience spanning transportation, automotive and software industries, mainly in planning and maintenance functions. He has also been Higher Education Administrator for highly respected Private University. Dr. Salem has been active teaching post-graduate students and corporate executives. Dr Salem has been a consultant to Egyptian and international organizations in production, maintenance and materials management.

Before EDC Int'l, Dr Salem set up and led a consultancy and software services center for EDS.

Management Team

Dr. Aref Rashad, Director Operations Egypt

Dr. Rashad is an Information Systems and Operations Research Certified Consultant He got his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from MTC, Egypt, in 1971, M. Sc. in Operations Research from Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA, USA, and Ph.D. from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. Dr. Rashad spent one year for pos-doctoral research at the Operation and Information Department, School of Business, University of Southern California (USC).

Dr. Rashad professional experiences include working as a Senior Consultant for Governmental and private organizations such as United Nations Development Program (UNDP), United State Aid Program (USAID), Egyptian Ministry of defence, Central Agency for Public Mobilization, Ministry of Interior, US- based Holosofx Company, Cairo International Airport Authority...etc.

Dr. Rashad joined Elsewedy Industries form 1996. He was selected to start the Group's IT business in the USA. Aref brings with him over 25 years of experience in the local and international IT industry.

Dr. Refat Ali El-Hefny, Systems Development Manager

Dr. El-Hefny is an Information Systems and Operations Research Certified Consultant. He got his B. Sc. In Electrical Engineering in 1971. He got his M. Sc. in Computer Applications of Operations Research from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Ohio, and USA., and his PhD. in Operations Research from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt.

Dr. El-hefny professional experience includes working as General Manager of Regional Information Technology Enterprise (RITE) the leading ISP in Egypt. He worked also as Information Systems Consultant in Sakhr Software Company.

Dr. El-hefny worked as a Senior Consultant for different governmental and private organizations as Egyptian Ministry of Defence. He is leading now large-scale IT development projects in Elsewedy Industries group of companies.

Mr. Mark J. Del Signore, VP for Sales and Marketing

Mr. Del Signore got his B.S. in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1982.

Mr. Del Signore Worked as a Strategic Sales Executive for EDS, where he was responsible for identifying, leading the pursuit and closing new business opportunities in the area of Business Process. He also worked as Client Executive for OneSystem Group, Ernst & Young. During his work in EDC he has been also Responsible for managing a Document Management/Shared Services operation for EDS/Saturn and acting as a Business Development Manager for Manufacturing SBU.

Mr. Del Signore worked also as Engineering Patent Engineer in U.S. Department of Commerce Patent and Trademark Office.
